KG MOUNTAIN EXPEDITIONS is a locally owned company and operated by James Kagambi (KG) a professional mountain climber and an outdoor instructor with NOLS Africa who has summited 3 highest peaks in 3 continents. He has also represented Africa in the U.N PEACE CLIMB FOR THE WORLD on the Eiger in 1992. KG currently leads trips for NOLS in Chile and North America. (more)

3 DAYS TREKS: - Ref.: KG 3T
These itineraries are for hikers with limited time and they have the experience to ascend quickly through the different altitudes. This can be done through Naromoru - Naromoru or Sirimon - Sirimon Itinerary:

Mount Kenya peaks |
Day 1 - Drop off at Naromoru park gate. Start the 3 Hs acclimatization hike to Met Station (3050mt) overnight.
Day 2 - Hike gradually to Mackinder’s camp (4200mts) through moor land; ascent of 1150 mts in 7 hrs.
Day 3 - Pre-dawn summit attempt of point Lenana (4985mts) to be at the summit before the African sunrise. Hike down back to Mackinder’s camp formbreakfast and after a short rest descend to Met Station arriving by late afternoon for vehicle pick up.
