KG MOUNTAIN EXPEDITIONS is a locally owned company and operated by James Kagambi (KG) a professional mountain climber and an outdoor instructor with NOLS Africa who has summited 3 highest peaks in 3 continents. He has also represented Africa in the U.N PEACE CLIMB FOR THE WORLD on the Eiger in 1992. KG currently leads trips for NOLS in Chile and North America. (more)

5 DAYS PROGRAM: NAROMORU - SIRIMON, OR SIRIMON - NAROMORU.
5 DAYS Naromoru - Sirimon itinerary. Ref: KG NS

DAY 1 - We transfer the hikers to Naromoru park gate. Start the 3-hrs.
Acclimatization walk to Met Station 3050mts for overnight; passing through
the rain forest zone which comprises of rosewood, bamboo among others.
Day 2 - Hike gradually through (the vertical bog (usually very muddy when it rains), moorland, giant lobelias, groundsels to reach Mackinders 4200mts for overnight.
Day 3 - Summit day. Wake up at 3.00am and start the summit hike along the scree to be at Point Lenana 4985mts by 6.00 am in order to have a view of Africa sunrise. Descend down to Shiptons 4200mts for breakfast and overnight.
Day 4 - Hike down through Mackinder’s valley to OldMoses camp 3300mts and overnight.
Day 5 - Descend down through Sirimon track to Meet with the vehicle and
transfer back to Nairobi or hikers option.
Also note that Sirimon - Chogoria, Naromoru - Chogoria or Chogoria - Naromoru can be done within 5 days.
